The focus of Moonrise Lotus is to create pieces driven around "menhera". That is, artwork that usually features medical imagery represented with bright colors and often drawn in a way that's cute.
As the artist struggles with chronic illness and disability, the notation to represent social awareness of medical and societal issues is that of importance. With the ability to draw, the message of understanding things that people usually deem "abhorrent" from lack of understanding can be reflected upon.
It is the hope that the artwork of Moonrise Lotus can offer some smiles and comfort to those that may be struggling.
